11 Things to put in the Airbnb Welcome Basket

1. Welcome book

The first thing to be noticed must be a welcome book/card. You can create your welcome cards on Canva or hire a designer to make one for you.

We created few templates on Canva that you can edit for free, or send us your details and we will do it for you. You can see the Welcome Books here.

2. Sweet things

Second, but also very important is chocolate, or energy bars or homemade cookies if you bake. We use these Chocolate Candy 150 pieces, Variety Pack of Hersheys, Nestles, Reese’s, Snickers and many others.

We leave one for each guest in the welcome basket which is more than enough as a welcome snack.

3. Local drink

We always leave some traditional local beverage for our guests. Our local drink is “Rakia”, 40% alcohol and we called the Balkan Whiskey. We leave 0.5L bottle of it. But also sometimes we leave cans of local beer, one for each guest.

In every private message after check out, guests are thanking us for the drinks.

4. Local food

There is definitely something authentic and unique coming from your area. We leave small jar of Ajvar, which is traditional pepper paste, and bread. They LOVE it.

5. Toiletries

It is not necessary to provide tooth brush, tooth paste, shampoo, shower gel or conditioner, but it is a nice touch. We noticed that, almost everything that we provide is used, so it means that people find it useful and they are grateful.

We use this combo from Amazon.
